Bridal Contract

Within my early years of being a freelance MUA, I had little to no prior knowledge of the legal side of providing services, which put myself and business at risk. Including my $$$ !

Contracts are a written agreement between a client and a business owner that specifies the responsibilities of each party, compensation, and the services that will be provided amongst many other details.

It's extremely crucial as a service provider to have a contract in place for a number of reasons.

1). Protect your time & money for both parties! : Your time is valuable and it's way faster and cheaper to have this agreement in place than it is to deal with disputes and pushback from clients where there is no contract in place.

2) Disagreements from clients can lead to lawsuits if you're not protecting yourself from potential liabilities !

3) Clients can't negotiate prices after the contract is signed off.

Now I know putting together a contract is extremely time consuming and complicated due to the fact that you may not know what you should or should not include. Along with the type of wording you should use when creating your contract. (Trust me I've been there)
